Meet the Nurses

Charlotte Varney,
Charlotte Varney,

Charlotte Varney, MS, BSN, RN, SN Charlotte is a full time nurse who began working at the St. Johnsbury School in 2022. She is a graduate of St. Olaf College with a Bachelor's degree in Design and a graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage with a Bachelor’s of Nursing. She graduated with a Master’s degree in Health Communication from University of Illinois. Charlotte became a registered nurse in 2001 and has previously worked as a Public Health Nurse and a School Nurse in Alaska. She has more recently worked for the Department of State as a nurse for the U.S. Embassy medical clinics in Nairobi, Kenya and Bangkok, Thailand. She is certified in International Travel Medicine.

Katherine Siner
Katherine Siner

Katherine Siner, RN, ASN Katherine is a full time nurse who began working at the St Johnsbury School in 2018. She is a graduate of the University of Montana with a Bachelors of Environmental Studies and Sustainable Agriculture. She is a graduate of Vermont Technical College with an Associates in Nursing. She became a licensed Associate School Nurse in 2018. She is also a labor and delivery nurse, and a certified lactation counselor. She is certified in PALS.

Eileen Wuerthele
Eileen Wuerthele

Eileen Wuerthele MSN, BSN, CPNP, RN  Eileen graduated from Alfred University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and earned her Master’s degree in Nursing from Northeastern University. She worked as a Registered Nurse in pediatric, maternal/child and school health from 1985 until 2015 when she began practicing as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She missed working in a school environment and is excited to join the St. Johnsbury School team!

Eileen is married to Rich and they have 3 adult children, a yellow lab named Levon and a grandson named Charlie! She enjoys running, biking, hiking, baking, cooking, crafting, reading and traveling.
