Skating & Chili Party
Friday, February 24 from 6-8 pm
AT THE FATHER LIVELY ICE RINK ON MAIN ST.
*Due to the risk of injuries on the ice, no unattended children are allowed at this Family Activity.
No event forms will be needed.

**All monthly meetings are on Tuesday nights, starting at 5:30.
We meet in the Upper Library.
All parents, guardians, teachers and staff are welcome to attend.
Free childcare and light snacks are provided.**

All activities run from 6:00-8:00 pm unless otherwise noted.
Please note: we encourage families to attend these activities. Students in Pre-K through 2nd grade must attend with an adult. If older students are dropped off, they must be picked up by a responsible adult. Walkers are not allowed. School policy prohibits students from walking or biking home without proper adult supervision. All students must bring or fill out the Event Form to each event in order to be admitted.
Other PTO-ponsored Activities
May 9: Book Swap
Every student may bring in a book (from your own reading level, please)
to swap for another book. A great way to discover new books.
May 24: Staff Appreciation Tea
We celebrate our school's teachers and staff, providing an afternoon Tea as a way to thank them for all they do for our children and our school.
June 5: Farewell Potluck
The PTO provides a potluck dinner. Bring the whole family.
Eat, chat and have fun. Bringing a dish to share is optional.
Volunteer Opportunities
There are many kinds of volunteer work you can choose from
at the St. Johnsbury School. Some examples are:
• Shelve books in the Library or help with the Book Fair
• Classroom: read to students, assist the teacher
• Chaperone class field trips
• Teach an after-school class or oversee a hobby club
• Help with the yearbook or student newsletter
• Share your experiences or expertise as a guest speaker
• Photograph events or write releases
• Write editorials or articles about the school's events or positive initiatives
• Provide food and drinks for special activities
• Help with set up, clean up or chaperone special activities
• Man the PTO information tables during school Open Houses
• Fundraiser: tally orders, hand out orders
If you are interested in helping, please fill contact your child's teacher or one of the school's Principals.
We collect BoxTops, Labels for Education, Tyson labels, used ink cartridges and cell phones. All collection items can be dropped off in the bins provided on the office counter at school. There are extra Labels for Education collection sheets in the document ladder next to the office entrance.
